WELCOME: Emerging Developers Grant Program Application

 

Program Description:

The Emerging Developers Program is designed to support emerging developers by funding soft costs incurred during the pre-development phase of a project. This initiative aims to provide capital access and help developers expand their portfolios, thereby alleviating financial burdens associated with early-stage project expenses.  

Eligibility Requirements:

To ensure clarity and completeness in your application, please review the following eligibility requirements carefully before submitting:  

  • Both non-profit and for-profit entities can apply.
  • Must manage the real estate development project activities and is responsible for submitting reimbursement requests for eligible soft costs.
  • Must be at least 51% owner of the corresponding real estate or a real estate special purpose entity.
  • Only prior projects that have been completed and their Certificate of Occupancy.
  • Projects under only a purchase/sales agreement or a lease are not eligible.
  • The Development Entity cannot have more than five full-time employees at the time of application, as verified by the last WR30 filed or other relevant payroll documentation.
  • One award per Development Entity.
  • Must demonstrate having completed between two and five residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
  • Must provide an organizational chart for the Developer Entity.
