Welcome: Garden State Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy ("C-PACE") Program
Description of Program:
You have reached the application page for the Garden State Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy ("C-PACE") Program, a new form of financing for building energy and environmental improvements for New Jersey. Garden State C-PACE is a voluntary financing
tool which allows eligible commercial real property owners to access financing to undertake eligible energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, and resiliency improvements on their buildings and repay the investment through an additional
charge/assessment similar to their real property tax, sewer, or water bill.
Prior to starting this application, please ensure you have conducted a pre-application meeting with an NJEDA Garden State C-PACE team member.
The full application requires detailed information and supporting documentation about your company, affiliates, and the Proposed Project for which you are applying for C-PACE financing. Please be advised that the application fee is non-refundable. It
is recommended that you review the following supporting documentation list prior to beginning the application so that you can begin collecting all necessary information.
It is highly recommended that you review the sample application and the Garden State C-PACE Program Guidelines on the Garden State C-PACE program website (
https://www.njeda.com/c-pace/) prior
to starting the application in an effort to be prepared to provide the requested information.
Eligibility
The application is broken down into 16 sections. You will not be able to proceed further into the application without completing all required fields and uploads within the current section. Progress on the application can be saved as you complete each
section. At all times, you will be able to go back to sections that you have already completed.
The NJEDA Garden State C-PACE team will not begin our completeness review of your application until all required information has been provided, and the application fee has been received. After NJEDA staff deem your application complete, we will send an
email certification to your CEO, or equivalent officer for North American operations, to confirm that all information provided in the application is accurate. This certification must be signed under the penalty of perjury to move forward with a full
application review.
This full application will take several hours to complete. Please read the prompts to questions carefully and provide professionally written responses that address all details requested in the questions in the suggested length of text.
