Before completing this application for the Angel Investor Tax Credit Program, please note that this is a two-part application with a non-refundable fee, initiated and paid by the investor seeking the tax credit, and confirmed/finalized by the NJ company in which the applicant has invested.
BOTH portions of the application MUST be submitted within six months of the Qualified Date of Investment. No exceptions can be made. It is the investor’s responsibility to 1) enter the company contact’s email correctly so that they receive timely notification to complete the second portion of the application, and 2) follow up as needed with the company to ensure they do complete it within the timeframe required. Please be sure to review all information provided on our website at www.njeda.gov/angeltaxcredit before deciding to apply. In addition to the investor and the transaction being eligible, there are specific eligibility requirements which much be met by the company invested in, regarding the business and its employees.
